Is there a trick to getting the top off of a washing machine to clean clog from pump?

you won't need to take the top off your pump is on the bottom of the machineIs there a trick to getting the top off of a washing machine to clean clog from pump?
To remove the top, use a thin putty knife to release the catches on the top. This will not give you access to the pump, it's on the bottom. Secure the water, disconnect the machine from all lines, move it out to where it can be exposed at the back. Remove the back and then access the pump. Put it back together in the reverse order. Is there a trick to getting the top off of a washing machine to clean clog from pump?
removing to top will only get u to the tub of the washer....but if u want to remove it then there are 2 clips holding it down ...a putty knife or a butter knife as i sometimes use... but the clips are found on the front about 4 inchs or so from the right and left side inward.....just stick the knife in and press....it will release....to reinstall just push the lid back down....nothing else to remove....the lid will be hindged in the back
Don't forget to turn off the water and disconnect the supply hoses and unplug the machine. Also when you have the hoses off, clean the screens at the connections and check the hoses for cracks in the rubber. Replace them before they rupture.
Unscrew the two screws that hold the dial area down. Then you just have to pull the sides forward and up and it will come off your pump is at the bottom.
