Is it ok to use the motor/tire cleaner spray at the car wash on my engine?

i would not do it,with all the electronics you will git some water in them and that costs a lot.you should just git a damp rag(water only)and clean it,thats what i doIs it ok to use the motor/tire cleaner spray at the car wash on my engine?
most newer car washes have a engine cleaner setting on the wash sprayer. make sure you cover your coil or distributor cap with a plastic bag or you will wind up removing them to dry them before your car will start also don't let water get into the carb.Is it ok to use the motor/tire cleaner spray at the car wash on my engine?
Dont do it if you want to clean your engine get you a botle of castrol superclean it comes in a purple bottle spray it on your engine and let it set for about 10 minutes or so and spray it off with a water hose just make sure you cover up your coil pack or distributor cap whichever the case may be a plastic bag works great it works great i use it all the time
If you are thinking about cleaning your engine at the car wash then please dont come back here and say the car wont start anymore.
